This Challah cover was designed specifically for Challah's with a true sense of style, a flair for fashion and a taste for the nightlife (Friday evening to be precise). Each cover was designed by Dana Haim and they come in two subtle, yet refined color ways (blue/bronze and lavender/ecru).
Our Challah covers are hand woven by artisan masters in a small village outside of Teotitlan de Valle, located in the Oaxaca region of Mexico. The weavers we work with have been weaving in this style on heirloom flying shuttle looms for 4 generations. Due to the nature of handmade goods, colors may differ slightly from the image. Slight variations will occur making them all truly one of a kind.
Dimensions: 16"x 28" (including tassels)
Judaica Standard Time explores the space between faith and design. It is playful, yet profound. The spiritual realm contains many functional objects that have been overlooked and forgotten over the years and through generations. Working with international artisans and designers on classic and traditional Judaica objects, JST looks to return these pieces to the forefront of our homes and minds. On the fringes of religion and spirituality, our goal is to connect and belong. To be useful in ways we had forgotten and to bring people together in pride and in memory. Judaism plays a part, but it is not the whole story. We hope these pieces can transcend religion and find a place in the spaces of all people.
